A McDonald’s is also located on the base. Downtown Mountain View provides many more options, including restaurants, a small grocery store, and a weekend farmer’s market year-round.

Health Services
All Full Time students are required to have health care. A student can either purchase health care through Carnegie Mellon, or opt out with proof of pre-existing health care. Detailed information about Health Services, including enrollment and waiver forms, can be found here.  The liaison for the West coast campus is Lori Smith. She can be reached by calling 412-268-2157.

Housing Services
The West Coast campus does not offer housing at this time. Temporary housing options are available thought NASA. The NASA Lodge is located across the street from Carnegie Mellon West, and the accommodations are much like a hotel. NASA also offers dorm facilities –  single rooms, shared baths and no access to a kitchen. To inquire about rates and availability, call650-603-7100.

Craigslist.org is an excellent resource for local rentals.

If you are interested in re-locating to the area we recommend contacting David Wang, a local realtor. Contact David via 650-504-8190 or david.procalbayarea@gmail.com.

Transportation
The downtown business district of Mountain View is two miles from Moffett Field. Public transportation between the two areas is available, but limited – especially on the weekends. Once in downtown Mountain View, you’ll have access to train, light rail and bus systems that run North to San Francisco and South to San Jose. Despite the varied options for public transportation, it’s a great advantage to have a car.
