Transportation The downtown business district of Mountain View is two miles from Moffett Field. Public transportation between the two areas is available, but limited – especially on the weekends. Once in downtown Mountain View, you’ll have access to train, light rail and bus systems that run North to San Francisco and South to San Jose. Despite the varied options for public transportation, it’s a great advantage to have a car.
