The ECE PhD program now allows full-time or part-time PhD students to do all or part of their studies at the Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley Campus. Initial focus will be on mobility, networking and security.
All “PhD in ECE Requirements” apply, with a few modifications, such as allowing time on the west coast to count as residency. The supervisory committee for west coast PhD programs will have at least one faculty member from both east and west coast.
