The wireless industry has become hotter than it has ever been. The promises to faster networks, advanced handsets and compelling applications are all started to bear fruit. Mobile phones have advanced far beyond voice calls; they are becoming an integral part of our lives
as a portable ubiquitous data device. This half day seminar will teach you about some of the interesting business models and technologies powering
the wireless industry today. Please join us at this SVCWireless seminar which provides a view of current and emerging trends in mobile wireless data.

Speaker Bio:
Eric Chan is currently a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He teaches graduate level courses in such as Mobile Commerce and Ubiquitous Computing. He also researches trends in mobile wireless data and the mobile lifestyle. In addition, he writes about his observations about the mobile wireless data industry in his blog, Mobile Slate (http://www.mobileslate.com).
